Finishing touches at the workshop. The daily trip to the workshop always brings new ideas to the table. Soon to come, a small stylish gallery right in the workshop yard smack in Kuta, Bali. Mind you not in the fancy boutique part of town, but where the actual blood, sweat and tears were spilled in the creation of the unique pieces. More to come.. follow the progress of Joel Dumas Gllry/Wrkshp in Bali right here.

In our workshop here in Bali, we are reworking some unique antique wooden pieces. This year I am experimenting with incorporating many different materials, such as metals and stones, in the wood. The process from digging these ancient pieces of wood up in the jungle to actually having a finished piece of art, made in colaboration with nature, is a long one… But the blood, sweat and tears that go into each piece is all worth it in the end… It is what we do.
